The Town of Halton Hills is reviewing potential traffic calming improvements for the McKenzie-Smith Bennett School neighbourhood.
Over the last few years, an operational safety review was undertaken to assess the need for traffic calming measures within the McKenzie-Smith Bennett School neighbourhood. The review was initiated due to multiple residential concerns regarding aggressive driving and road safety. A proposed traffic calming plan has been created to further ensure safety for all road users.
Consultation with the community is an important aspect of the Town’s Traffic Calming Implementation Protocol. Residents living within the neighbourhood and motorists driving on the affected roads are encouraged to participate in an in-person and/or virtual Public Information Center (PIC) to review the proposed Traffic Calming Plan and provide feedback.
The in-person PIC will be held on November 6th from 6 - 9 p.m. in the Community Centre Hall at the Acton Arena. A short presentation will commence at 7 p.m.
